What is specific to this country
Following the 2025 reform, another citizenship is legally significant for people born outside Italy. New claims must be tested against the new parent/grandparent and parental-residence exceptions; the former assumption that any distant post-1861 ancestor is sufficient is no longer safe for a new filing.
